It’s great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Elise, and I’m so excited to work with you!

I have been dancing for most of my life and working as a photographer since 2019, and I love getting to combine these two passions when photographing dancers.

I hold a B.A. in Dance with concentrations in Dance Science and Dance Education from Muhlenberg College, and I love getting to put on my dance teacher hat to help capture your best technique in your photos.

I am now a student in Boston University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy program, with an end goal of working with dancers and performing artists!

A little history…

I grew up dancing and performing in the Greater Boston area, and was first introduced to photography by my father, who photographed many of my dance competitions and recitals growing up. I began my own photography journey photographing my friends at competition (back when that was allowed) between my own dances.

In college, I majored in dance, and also studied photography and theater. During college, my photography branched out into portraiture, documentary photography, and eventually dance portraits. I also had the opportunity to photograph several dance, theater, and music performances.

I photographed for Beyond the Stars / Breakout dance competitions in their 2020-2021 season, and established my first Ambassador team in January 2021. Since then, I have been lucky enough to work with hundreds of individual dancers, performers, graduating seniors, and families, as well as many dance studios and dance companies. I have even dabbled in sports and product photography!

Now that I’m in graduate school, I’m not spending nearly as much time on photography, but I am still doing dance and performance photography locally. I am also teaching private dance lessons and performing with the Boston University Dance Theater Group!

My work

My number one goal is to create images of you that you love. I strive for a “real life but better” look, and I’d always rather get things right in camera than try to fix it in photoshop later. Across my work, you’ll see vibrant colors and framing that highlights the subject (you!).
